Art Prints Policy

Our Art Prints Policy is designed to assist you in understanding the languages we use, as well as how we handle commissioned artwork, so you can make informed decisions when using our site and our products and services.

1. Regarding Editions

ManChild, Ltd. is selling "limited edition prints" and “open edition prints.” ManChild, Ltd. uses the terms “limited edition prints” and “open edition prints” to represent two-dimensional (or three-dimensional in the case of canvas) art prints available through a pre-publication license agreement between David Thompson (the artist) and ManChild, Ltd.
In the case of “limited edition prints” this arrangement with the artist identifies a total maximum number of prints based on a single original high resolution digital image of a specific work of art created by the artist for exclusive production based on different paper type and/or dimension of the print. Certain information about the limited edition print and sale will be provided to buyers in a Certificate of Authenticity which is included with the purchase of each limited edition print through ManChild, Ltd.
The image for any “limited edition print” may, in certain circumstances, be licensed by the artist for reproduction on other consumer products, such as phone cases, tumblers, calendars, books, apparel, and other home décor accents (but excluding two-dimensional art prints with the same dimensions as any identified limited edition print).
In the case of “open edition prints” this arrangement with the artist enables ManChild, Ltd. to print an unspecified number of prints based on a single original high resolution digital image of a specific work of art, provided these do not infringe upon the specifications of any identified limited edition print. A Certificate of Authenticity is not provided with the sale of open ended prints.

2. Regarding Commissioned Art

ManChild, Ltd. offers Exclusive or Non-Exclusive commissioned artwork through artist, David Thompson. David will work with you directly to get a detailed narrative of what you are looking for to ensure he creates the perfect piece for you. He will draw inspiration from any photos you provide as he seeks to evoke a deeper connection between you and the final piece.
Once all the elements have been agreed upon, you pay for the deposit to get the process started. When you are happy with the completed piece, you pay the remainder.

3. Regarding Exclusive Vs. Non-Exclusive

When commissioning a work of art, you will decide if you would like it to be an Exclusive or Non-Exclusive piece. An Exclusive contract will provide you with a one-of-a-kind image that cannot be sold to anyone else, although a representation of the image may be used in to showcase the artist’s capabilities. A Non-Exclusive contract enables the artist to sell limited, or open, edition prints of the completed work. This option is more affordable as the cost of the finished work is borne by multiple collectors rather than just by one.
